A blog was posted by my website a few days ago - listing a "step-by-step" Guide to Legally Setting up a new business... however, it didn't mention that the #1 step -> is the need for you to use LEGAL COUNSEL in addition to your CPA.
CPA's cannot provide ANY legal advice or services. The other steps mentioned were good - choosing an entity type, registering, etc & CPA's can help to advise in those regards. But not in any legal matters, or in writing legal documents or agreements.
Legal counsel, as part of your management team is critical when setting up a new business.
Be sure to talk with me if you have business or tax questions. Thanks!
Just a heads up on that! Garland
